Usually, Republican views line up with the Bible quite well. However, sometimes Republicans are forced to choose between God and Reagan. It is very difficult to make this choice as well as to acknowledge that Reagan is not God. In his policy positions, Mike Huckabee is attempting to follow the Bible more consistently at the expense of traditional conservatism. This is a rookie mistake that President Bush made sure to avoid throughout his presidency. Huck is confused, thinking of "pro-life" as some sort of cradle-to-grave policy, rather than as a call to arms to recognize the sanctity of life. Conservatives eagerly await the second coming of Reagan, when He will show us the true Republican path and deliver us to Eternal Conservative Bliss.
